CyberFirst Bursary Scheme
CyberFirst is a student programme developed and led by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), designed to support and prepare undergraduates for a career in cyber security. The NCSC collaborates with other government departments and selected industries to offer students £4,000 per year, along with paid cyber skills training, to help you launch a career in cyber security.
You will need to have (or expect to have) 3 A Levels in any subject at Grade B or above (or equivalent) and hold an offer (or be applying) to study an undergraduate degree or integrated master's in any subject at a UK university from September 2025.

CyberFirst Student Ambassadors
Alongside our CyberFirst industry ambassadors, we also actively encourage student ambassadors to get involved. These ambassadors are students with a passion for all things digital and cyber, eager to make an impact. As a student ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to support exciting workshops in CyberFirst schools, inspiring younger pupils through hands-on activities and interactive sessions. You’ll play a key role in helping them explore the fascinating world of cyber, guiding them in making informed choices about their future careers and next steps after school.
By sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge, you’ll not only support others but also build your own skills and confidence in the process, all while contributing to a growing and dynamic field. It’s an incredible opportunity to inspire the next generation of cyber professionals while shaping your own future!
